Max Verstappen strolls to Monaco GP win to continue F1 dominance as rain causes chaos and helps Hamilton finish fourth

The Dutchman led from pole position and was never really threatened.

The reigning world champion finished a whopping 27 seconds clear of Fernando Alonso.

However, there was drama further behind when the rain suddenly came pouring down during the second half of the iconic Monte Carlo race.

That enabled Lewis Hamilton to jump up to fourth, challenging Esteban Ocon for the final podium spot.

George Russell held on to fifth ahead of local hero Charles Leclerc despite a five-second penalty.
