But Megan quickly found her idea rebuffed by people in the comments section of her TikTok video, with the majority insisting her “hack” will lead to a whole lot of mould.

“On today’s episode of Megan is the smartest/dumbest person in the world, I’ve done six loads of laundry today but I don’t have a tumble dryer,” Megan began.
“And I have two radiators in the house that I use and it’s been raining, so I couldn’t put any of them to dry outside.”
Adding that the trick will also work wonders during the cost of living crisis, Megan continued: “You tie yarn to the curtain poles and you create something like this.
“I have 10 washing lines, 10 washing lines in my living room right now!
“But my clothes are gonna dry.”
“Honestly, I’m so proud of this,” she captioned the video.
But she was almost instantly faced with numerous warnings about the prospect of her hack causing mould.
“Make sure there is ventilation though otherwise you’ll get mould!” one wrote.
“And this is how we have mouldy houses…” another added.
While a third commented: “Ooh the mould!”
“Open a window even if it’s just a crack because damp is a real thing,” someone else wrote.
“The humidity of that room will give the amazon jungle a run for its money,” another agreed.
Growing tired of the backlash, Megan then returned to the comments to write: “DEAR KARENS THERE WILL NOT BE MOULD.
“I have all of the windows wide open and this was a one off because I didn’t do laundry for 2 months!”
