A video has revealed the horrifying moment a van driver tries to force his way past a bus – before running out of room and hitting it.
The footage was posted on the Instagram channel Inside Motors, and shows the reckless van driver racing up the outside of the bus and mounting a traffic island in an attempt to make it past.

The clip is captured by an approaching car’s dash cam and opens by showing a typical British urban road.
As the oncoming traffic approaches , a few passing cars are followed by two double decker buses.
At the same time, a red van can be seen in the lane to the left, which would usually be used to turn right into a side street.
However, the van keeps on going, clearly trying to get in front of the second double-decker.

The van soon runs out of lane, but instead of giving up and waiting to pull in it mounts the central traffic island and keeps at it, bouncing over the kerbs.
Eventually, the van driver is spooked by the size of the bus next to him and the oncoming traffic light and does pull in.
However, not without clouting the back of the bus.
And rather than stop and assess the damage, the van simply drives on. That said, so does the bus.

Which leaves the question; was the van trying to move around the bus while it was at a bus stop?
If so, the bus was being very aggressive in blocking off the van driver. Whose side are you on?
Ultimately, there wasn’t much love for the van driver in the comments.
