The dodgy activist portrayed by Michael Condron is wreaking havoc in the cobbles with his far-right extremist gang.

But he’s bound to drag Max (played by Paddy Bever) down with him after taking him under his wing.

Coming up on ITV, Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) is uneasy when Griff invites the troubled teen on a camping trip.

He later does some digging on the identity of Griff’s financial backer and his benefactor is soon revealed – who could it be?

In later scenes, Max heads off with Griff on their camping trip but his father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) isn’t happy about it.

The latter may have been right in protesting, unhappy with the company the lad has been keeping.

Max is horrified when the camping trip doesn’t end the way he expected.

Later on, trouble arises for the youngster and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) who was already involved in the death of her husband Imran Habeeb.

As Spider implores her to stay quiet, Griff manages to convince Max to lie to the authorities about the events of the camping trip.

Could it backfire on him?

Griff and his group were already responsible for Daryan’s brutal attack in earlier scenes of the Manchester-based drama.

The racist thug has also threatened Alya Nazir and tried to cause trouble for Maria Connor in the hopes of getting the local refugee centre closed down.

He recruited Max after standing up to his bullies for him, taking advantage of his vulnerability.

His hold over the teen was only made stronger when he introduced him to his love interest Lauren.

Max has since been using his video editing skills to help Griff spread his racist views in Weatherfield.

But residents close to him, in the likes of his father David, have made it clear he shouldn’t trust or spend so much time with Griff.
