OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has revealed the one and only time he ever got an apology off Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 50-year-old played under the Scottish legend for 11 years at Old Trafford and remained in communication after he himself took over as Manchester United manager.

Hard-nosed Ferguson was known for his uncompromising personality during his years of relentless winning.
But Solskjaer received one of the bosses’ rare apologies after he was caught on camera criticising the Norweigian’s decision to bench Cristiano Ronaldo in 2021 against Everton.
In a question and answer at ‘An Evening with Ole Solskjaer’, he said: “That’s the one time Sir Alex has ever apologised to me.
“He was caught on a video saying, ‘You should always play your best players,’ after Ronaldo started on the bench for one game.
“He rang me and apologised because he knows how difficult it is.”
Solskjaer added that he believes that management is even tougher now with what he describes as a ‘snowflake’ generation of players compared to the dressing room he experienced.
The former United bosses has also given his take on the Glazers and believes their time is up as club owners.
“It needs to be done. Old Trafford is neglected. The training ground has been neglected. We need to catch up with the other teams.”

“I’m not sure [Sir Jim Ratcliffe] can get the whole lot. I think he wants only 51 per cent; it’s a difficult one.”
Solskjaer also claimed that Ratcliffe, also the owner of Nice, tried get him on board at the French club.
He said: “Nobody knows this but Nice and Sir Jim Ratcliffe wanted me.”
