Cameroonian-born Frenchman Doumbe has been a staple in European kickboxing over the years, reigning as a two-time world champion.

And he has made a successful transition to MMA since his 2021 debut, since going 4-0 in the welterweight division.

Doumbe also shot to mainstream fame in his homeland in 2020 for his starring role in Netflix’s reality series The Circle.

But his career has taken another jump after he signed with the PFL, which offers stars the chance to win $1million in just four bouts.

Doumbe, 30, said: “I am a unique fighter joining a unique organisation in the PFL. I look forward to great success in the PFL.”

The PFL consists of qualifying and knockout stages, where points are earned per method of victory in the opening two bouts.

The top four in each weight then progress into the victory-or-go-home stage.

It sets up a winner-take-all finale fight where a title belt and $1million cash prize lays in wait.

Doumbe becomes the latest talent to join the MMA league and could make his PFL debut this year before joining their season in 2024.
