On Saturday June 3, ITV will show both the Derby AND the FA Cup final between Man United and Man City.

The mouthwatering events are sure to tantalise the taste buds of sports fans across the country.

But horse racing fanatics will have to get set for one big change.

The Epsom Derby is one of the year’s biggest races and normally starts at 4.30pm each year.

However, it has been pushed back for an early 1.30pm start this time to avoid clashes with the FA Cup final.

The exciting match between the two Manchester clubs was meant to start at 5.30pm.

But a police request has seen it pushed back for the first time in 12 years to 3pm.

As a result, the Derby will take place a whole three hours earlier than usual.

ITV have confirmed Derby coverage will begin at 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

And the main race itself is set to kick off an hour later at 1.30pm.

Coverage will then continue until 2.15pm, when ITV 1 will start its build-up for the FA Cup final.

Epsom fans can continue to watch the horse racing by switching to ITV4, with ITVX also set to keep simulcasting.

Meanwhile, footy fans will be treated to 45 minutes of pre-match action before United vs City gets started at 3pm.
