PLANS for CM Punk’s explosive return to All Elite Wrestling have been revealed as the company prepares to announce a new show.
Punk, real name Phil Brooks, has been off TV since his controversial rant following the All Out event last September as he recovers from a triceps injury.

Now, though, it seems that AEW boss Tony Khan has decided a date for the Second City Saint’s return.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Punk is scheduled for the debut of AEW Collision on Saturday June 17.
The event is yet to be announced but is expected to take place at the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
Meltzer wrote that the new show is expected to be announced “very shortly”.
It comes after a number of outlets reported that Punk would be returning on or around the June 21 edition of AEW’s flagship TV show Dynamite, also in Chicago.
The former AEW, WWE and Ring of Honor world champion has been swamped in controversy since his expletive-filled rant after All Out 2022.
In the PPV event’s post-show media scrum, he went after fellow stars Colt Cabana and Adam Page, as well as company Executive Vice Presidents Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, a trio collectively known as The Elite.
He accused the group of leaking false stories about him to the media and said Page has gone “into business for himself” during a segment on Dynamite in which he was critical of Punk on live TV.
This led to a fist fight between Punk, his friend Ace Steele and The Elite, which was dubbed ‘Brawl Out’.
Steele was fired in the wake of the incident, while both Punk and The Elite were stripped of their respective championships and suspended.
Kenny and the Bucks have since returned, but the self-proclaimed Voice of the Voiceless has missed nearly 7 months through injury.
The new show, Collision, is expected to be built around Punk and be accompanied by a roster split to keep him separate from The Elite, who will remain as major players on Dynamite on Wednesdays.
It comes ahead of AEW’s UK debut, with All In London announced for August 27 at Wembley Stadium.
Punk is a major star in the wrestling world and is expected to have a significant role in the show as AEW seeks to sell out the 90,000-seat stadium.
Their current attendance record is 20,177 at Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22, 2021.
All In London will be the first major wrestling show to be held in England since WWE’s much-loved Summerslam 1992 PPV.
