In the meantime he has worked on a Road House remake with Jake Gyllenhaal, but he is now focused on returning to the octagon.

He has filmed a season of The Ultimate Fighter as a coach opposite Chandler.

But it is not yet known when the pair will be able to enter the cage, with McGregor yet to enter the USADA anti-doping pool.

The 34-year-old was in Las Vegas last night for Gervonta Davis’ bout with Ryan Garcia.

He later went to a casino, where he chatted with fans while at the tables.

Asked when he will be back competing again, McGregor replied: “Some time end of summer.”

The former two-weight UFC champion watched on as Davis defeated Garcia via round seven stoppage.

McGregor chatted to Garcia after the fight, insisting that he remains the “future of boxing”.

He said: “He’s 1-0 on you, you two are the biggest names in the division. I want to see it again.

“I wanna see it again now, and I wanna see it with no rehydration clause, seriously. You know what I mean?

“Mate, all the respect in the world to you, you’re the future. The future is there, I’ll be watching you all the way. All the best, God bless.”

Earlier this year, McGregor predicted how his bout with Chandler will go.

He said: “I think I’m going slice through him. I think I’m a little too slicy for him, more than anyone else he’s fought.

“A little too snappy and whippy and I think I’ll slice through him.”
