FANS were in stitches at Steve McManaman’s gaff during Chelsea’s defeat to Real Madrid.
The Blues exited the Champions League after losing 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and 4-0 on aggregate.

Despite putting on a brave performance, Frank Lampard‘s side could not contain the reigning European champions.
Madrid star Rodrygo netted twice to put the tie beyond them but it was McManaman’s commentary during one goal that caught the fans’ attention.
The Brazilian forward netted after being set up by Uruguayan star Federico Valverde.
But with the pair being South American, the former Liverpool ace had a slip of the tongue.
McManaman hailed the goal as being “made in South Africa”, the completely wrong continent.
The phrase even started trending on Twitter.
And fans did not let the slip go as they insisted he needs “geography lessons”.
One fan tweeted: “Valverde assists, Rodrygo scores Steve Mcmanaman, ‘Made in South Africa’.”

A third commented: “Did Steve McManaman just say ‘Made in South Africa’???”
A fourth said: “‘Made in South Africa, Valverde the Uruguayan’ Steve McManaman needs geography lessons…”
While a fifth added: “Steve McManaman saying Rodrygo’s Valverde-assisted goal was ‘made in South Africa’ is my favourite bit of commentary of the season.”
A sixth joked: “A Uruguayan sets up a Brazilian to score a goal. Steve McManaman … That’s a goal made In South Africa. Yep. Cheers Steve.”
Chelsea fans were also shocked at the start of the game as Lampard named a defensive-looking team despite being down on aggregate.
Some fans even wanted to see the former midfielder and Ashley Cole back in the team against Madrid.
