Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx remains hospitalised in Georgia in the United States and under observation, a source with knowledge of the situation told CNN.
“They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened,” the individual said.
The update comes days after his 29-year-old daughter, Corinne Foxx, revealed her father had “experienced a medical complication” and was rushed to hospital.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” her statement, shared to her 503,000 followed on Instagram on Thursday, began.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Foxx, 55, has been in Atlanta, Georgia, filming the Netflix movie, Back in Action.

The source previously told CNN that the medical incident did not happen on the set and Foxx was not transported by emergency vehicle to the hospital.
A separate source close to production on the film told CNN that filming is “currently underway and expected to wrap up next week.”
This source did not elaborate as to whether Foxx still has scenes to film or whether he would be back on set.

The Foxx family has not shared an update since their Thursday statement, and has not revealed what the actor was suffering from, however a source with “direct knowledge” told TMZ his condition was “serious enough that [he] was hospitalised.”
“He’s communicating now, and that’s good news,” an insider told the publication on Thursday.
