A TOP candidate to replace Mason Greenwood as Manchester United’s No11 has been identified if the star striker was to leave the club.
The forward, 21, has not played for the Red Devils since January last year, and his long-term future with the club remains uncertain.

The Express reports that Brazilian star Antony could inherit the shirt.
Antony has struggled since moving to Old Trafford last summer, with three goals and no assists from 17 league matches.
A new shirt could help Antony find the form which has eluded him so far this season.
He currently wears the No21 shirt, which previously belonged to Edinson Cavani before the Uruguayan left for Valencia on a free transfer.
Antony previously worse the No11 shirt at Ajax, where he had 12 goal involvements in 23 league games.

Perhaps the most famous wearer of United’s No11 shirt is Ryan Giggs, who owned it throughout his time at the club before it passed to Adnan Januzaj when the Welshman retired in 2014.
Anthony Martial took the No11 shirt after Jose Mourinho stripped him of his No9 jersey – only to revert to the earlier number in 2019.
Whoever takes the No11 shirt next, United are understood to want a new centre-forward.
England captain Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are both currently under consideration – and could also inherit the No11 shirt if a move is completed.
It comes after United accepted that Greenwood may not return to the club until next season at the earliest amid an internal investigation.
But the club have reportedly rejected several offers from Turkish clubs for the player – who is desperate to play in the No11 shirt again.
Greenwood was recently spotted out with his pregnant partner – whom he plans to marry.
