Lose 1st and boost health by doing 5 simple things for just ONE day

FOR MANY, slimming down can seem like an uphill battle.

This is especially the case in the cost of living crisis, which has seen Brits struggle to make healthy choices as they juggle rising food prices and money stress.

But one nutritionist claimed to have an easy fix for weight loss and improving your health.

And all it takes is a day, he said.

Graeme Tomlinson, the nutritionist behind the app and Instagram account The Fitness Chef, said he’d identified the key to losing body fat.

“This is all you need to do for just one day to lose a stone and improve your health,” he claimed.

His five pieces of advice seem deceptively simple:

Eat one extra piece of fruit a day Eat one extra vegetable a day Replace a fizzy drink with its diet equivalent or a glass of water Go to bed 30 minutes earlier Cool off for 10 minutes if someone annoys you

But according to Graeme, their simplicity is the point.

“I know what you’re thinking,” he said. “How can doing this for one day result in losing over a stone or improving your health?

“These changes seem too easy.”

For Graeme, it’s about making changes achievable enough that you’ll continue sticking to them in the long run – long enough for you to start seeing the changes you’re aiming for.

Many people feel daunted at the idea of embarking on a weight loss or health improvement journey.

“For most people starting is the hardest and most overwhelming part,” Graeme explained.

His advise aims to ‘make starting as easy as possible’, and break down the process into bitesize pieces.

“Losing fat and improving your health is not the mountain you think it is – instead it’s just a flat path, which you might veer off from time to time.”

If these goals are easy to stick to for one day, the same will be true for the next day and the day after that, Graeme stated.

So if you eat an extra piece of fruit or veg every day for a year, that means you’ll have eaten 730 more portions of both by the end of it, according to the nutritionist.

You’ll also sleep cumulatively for 10,950 for minutes, he continued.

The NHS recommends that adults get seven to nine hours of sleep each night. And experts have told The Sun that sleeping too little could lead to weight gain.

Sticking to the nutritionist’s five steps also means “you’ll spend an extra 3650 minutes away from people who p**s you off,” he said.

The nutritionist said: “This shows that you don’t need to turn your life upside down to lose fat or improve your health.”

These minimal changes might even lead you to achieve more on a daily basis, he continued.

You might choose to further increase your fruit and veg intake, cut out soft drinks altogether, start exercising or go to bed an hour earlier than you did before.

You might begin to able to identify people or situations that stress you out and remove yourself from them.

“All of these things are possible because you started and succeeded for just one day.”

GP Dr Clare Bailey recently shared six tips with The Sun that will make you drop pounds fast.

And scientists from Penn University, US, found that eating three and a half cups of broccoli each day can significantly improve your gut health, which can contribute to our weight management and brain health.
