There was a huge market move for Rachael Blackmore’s runner Amirite before the off.
The Henry de Bromhead-trained seven-year-old is a maiden over fences but it looks like the step up in trip will suit.
He had been backed from 12-1 into 7-1 before the off, sharing top spot in the market with Gavin Cromwell’s Stumptown.
There was also some support for Venetia Williams’ Grade 1-winning star Royale Pagaille with the wet underfoot conditions to his fancy.
While ante-post fav Thedevilscoachman was uneasy, drifting out to around 9-1.
