GEORGE ELOKOBI has been relegated with Maidstone United in his first job as a manager.
The former Wolves player took charge of the club in January as the caretaker manager before securing the job permanently, but was unable to keep them in the National League.

Elokobi’s side were thrashed 4-0 by Boreham Wood on Saturday which cemented their relegation from the division.
The Mighty Stones are rock bottom of the table and have only 24 points after 41 games.
The club’s social media confirmed their relegation on Twitter with people quick to joke that they seemed defeated.
Maidstone’s official account said “Maidstone United are finally relegated. Match report now online”
To which one football fan suggested this was the club sounding relieved at the relegation.
They said: “Finally relegated – man had given up”.
Elokobi was unable to win a single game whilst in charge of the team, losing 11 and drawing three times.
The 37-year-old finished his playing career with the Kent based club last season managing 15 appearances and helping the side gain promotion into the National League.

Things have gone downhill for the former centre-back since and questions will be asked about his future as manager of the club.
Maidstone still have five league games remaining this season and will travel to Southend on Friday in pursuit of Elokobi’s first win.
