Watch former Premier League star completely wipe out Soccer AM staffer during volley challenge leaving fans concerned

FANS have been left concerned after Jose Enrique wiped out a Soccer AM staffer during the show’s volley challenge.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle star had joined Bolton fans as they took on the task but took a tumble after his effort.

Enrique accidentally lost his balance and landed on James Kirtland, also known as Curly, who was handing balls to Tubes [Peter Dale].

He then needed help after appearing to hurt his ankle in the collision.

After the segment, host John Fendley could be heard saying that Curly was “actually hurt” and asking for people to have some respect.

Many viewers were left concerned about his welfare as one tweeted: “Did look in a right tangle after that collision poor lad. Hope he’s OK.”

A second commented: “Ouch indeed! Looks like he landed full force on his lower shin and ankle! Definitely hurt him a lot!”

A third wrote: “Jose Enrique has just killed a member of the Soccer AM crew. Can’t believe they’re taking this away from us.

A fourth viewer said: “That’s gonna hurt in the AM…”

While a fifth asked: “How is the lad getting on who got taken out?”

To which James replied to put people’s worries to bed.

He tweeted: “I’m ok now, thank you.”

Enrique became a fan favourite during his four years on Tyneside between 2007 and 2011 before joining Liverpool.

He was released by Liverpool in 2016 and signed with Spanish club Real Zaragoza, making 27 appearances before being forced to retire one year later because of a persistent knee injury.
