Russell Crowe has given a heartbreaking update following the death of his beloved pup on Kyle and Jackie O’s radio show this morning.
The actor appeared on the popular KIIS FM breakfast radio show ahead of the premiere of his new film, The Pope’s Exorcist.
However, before diving into that, the radio duo first offered their condolences after hearing about the death of Crowe’s pup, Louis, who was tragically hit by a car yesterday.

Sandilands asked Crowe how he was doing following the tragic incident citing that if that had happened to him, he wouldn’t be able to come into work the next day.
“We are devastated, he was such a beautiful little pup,” Crowe said. “It’s going to take a little time to get past.”
Crowe revealed the sad news of his puppy’s passing yesterday on Twitter.

“This is Louis the Papillion. 16 months old. Tiny, cheeky, brave. He won my heart,” Crowe wrote on Thursday.
“Unfortunately today, on the second anniversary of my fathers passing, Louis was hit by a truck.
The Gladiator actor explained that whilst they tried to race their furry friend to the vet, he did not make it in time and that Louis had “died in my arms”.-
Alongside the tweet, Crowe added a picture of the tiny puppy.

The death of the actor’s four-legged friend adds a fresh twist to a day already marred by tragedy. The 30th of March is also the anniversary of Crowe’s father, John Alexander who died back in 2021 at the age of 85.
Later in the interview talking to Kyle and Jackie O, Crowe also spoke about his love of acting and the immense privilege that comes along with his job.
“The thing about my job is that I love it, it makes me a very lucky man.”
“When I have to get up at 4 o’clock in the morning, or work a 20 hour day, when I have to do things in extreme circumstances…I understand that that’s a privilege.”
