The driver fed up of waiting, appears to try to beat the jam, but makes the right-hand turn at walking pace.
Somehow he fails to spot the black and yellow bollard on the driver’s side and flattens it as he continues his turn.
The vehicle then gets marooned on the bollard which is laying on top of the kerb – and after a few seconds of wheel spinning, the smartly-dressed driver can be seen exiting the Merc, Stoke on Trent Live reports.
After glancing to assess the damage, he reaches into the footwell as a passerby casually walks past.
The stranded car leads to a build-up of traffic coming from the opposite direction, while the queue he had been stuck in only moments before clears.
And the driver who captured the footage on his dashcam then moves off, leaving viewers wondering how long the car was stuck.
The man who uploaded the video on social media said: “on my way home from work, I saw the slowest and silliest car accident ever.”
People were quick to comment on the video.
One said: “Are you sure that’s not a child in a suit? Obviously, can’t see over the top of the steering wheel.”
Another commented: “Might teach him to be more patient.”
This comes after a dash cam filmed the moment an angry driver refused to let other motorist filter into a lane.
Plus, a car is launched 10ft into the air on the motorway after being hit by a stray tyre.
