A MAJOR chain is set to shut all its shops within days, disappearing from the high street forever.
Paperchase stores will close doors for the final time on April 3.
Shoppers have been grabbing bargains in Paperchase’s closing down sale
It’s the end of the chain as it’s known with the closure of over 100 locations after falling into administration in January.
But the name will live on after Tesco snapped up the brand and intellectual property.
Around 106 shops across the country were not included in the sale and were earmarked to shut.
The Sun last week revealed that dozens of locations had already closed, including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
Plus all concession stands in Next and Selfridges stores have also shut.
Paperchase stopped trading online in mid-February.
Earlier this week the chain ramped up its closing down sale to 70% to get rid of stock.
Now a message on the Paperchase website, which is no longer taking orders, says the last day of trading will be April 3.
The Sun has contacted administrator Begbies Traynor for comment and we will update this story when we hear back.
It previously told The Sun that the exact closure date for each branch will vary and depend on how much stock is left to sell.
It’s not clear yet what Tesco has planned for the Paperchase but it’s expected to be stocked in the supermarket’s stores.
At the time of the purchase, Jan Marchant, managing director of home and clothing at Tesco said: “Paperchase is a well-loved brand by so many, and we’re proud to bring it to Tesco stores across the UK.
“We have been building out plans to bring more brands and inspiration to the ranges we currently offer, and this will help us to take those plans further.
“We look forward to sharing more with our customers in due course.”
Administrators failed to find a buyer for the business that included shops too.
The stationary store first hit the high street back in 1968 and soon expanded its presence into Europe, the USA and the United Arab Emirates.
The chain’s first store was located in Kensington and back in 2010 the brand launched its online store.

Paperchase isn’t the only shop on the high street to go under this year.
Fashion chain M&Co has started closing 170 locations after going under.
Its brand and intellectual property were snapped up by Yours Clothing.
Meanwhile Next has bought fashion and homeware brand Cath Kidston.
Four standalone stores and two concessions will close down.
