Two cars involved in huge smash at T-junction, but viewers are divided on which driver is to blame

A SHOCKING VIDEO of two cars involved in a huge collision at a T-junction has emerged on social media, but viewers are divided on which driver is to blame.

The crash appears to involve a Vauxhall Insignia turning out of a T- junction and a Ford Fiesta travelling at speed along the road.

Rather than coming to a complete stop, the Insignia slows down and pulls out, turning to the right.

However, at this point, the Ford Fiesta is being driven at speed along the road.

The Fiesta smashes into the front of the Insignia, causing severe damage to both cars.

It’s unclear whether the Ford Fiesta driver stopped to check if the other driver was injured.

The footage also shows a further white car parked in front of the junction which prevents the Fiesta from moving across to possibly avoid the collision.

According to rule 146 of the Highway Code, nobody has priority at an unmarked crossroad.

They advise that while driving on side roads and country lanes, road users should look out for unmarked junctions where nobody has priority.

Although this incident didn’t occur on a rural road, there are no clear markings on the road surface.

The video uploaded by @learn2drive.uk has divided viewers, and they captioned the video: ‘Who’s at fault?’

One user said: “The white car is going too fast. The car turning right clearly moved forward because it was clear at the time.”

Another said: “I would say both have a degree of liability. The black car didn’t make sure it was clear, and the white car was speeding – hit and run.”

A third pointed out: “I think morally the speeding car but technically the car turning into the lane, right?”

However, other users believe the white SUV was responsible for the accident.

One said: “The white SUV. The SUV caused the white car to not drive in the right-hand lane.

Another said: “The white SUV because he parked in the road.”

This comes after a car pulling out of a junction without stopping caused a nasty accident.

And a video captured the terrifying moment a car ploughs into a crowd, leaving a teenage girl and woman seriously hurt.
