How is Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn doing?

In March 2023, Ed Sheeran revealed in an Instagram post about his album Subtract, that his wife Cherry Seaborn had previously been diagnosed with a tumour.

As she was pregnant at the time with their second child, she could only seek treatment after the baby was born.

But The Sun exclusively revealed how she is now “recovering well” following treatment for the tumour.

The pair are now looking to put the traumatic experience behind them.

An insider told The Sun: “It’s been an incredibly tough time for Cherry and Ed.

“The tumour came as a huge shock, and the fact they couldn’t operate straight away was hugely concerning and scary.

“But after Jupiter arrived safely, Cherry has now received the treatment needed and is recovering well. They both hope it will be a much better 2023.”

What happened to Ed Sheeran’s wife?

We know that Cherry was diagnosed with a tumour in May 2022 whilst pregnant.

The exact details surrounding what type of tumour she had, and how the diagnosis came about, have been kept private.

However, Ed is releasing a Disney+ documentary on May 3, 2023 which will cover their reaction to finding out about her health battle, and is expected to give more details on her diagnosis.

Ed will talk about his wife’s health scare in their Disney doc.

However, he did speak briefly about the impact it had, in his March 2023 Instagram post to promote his album Subtract.

Writing to fans, Ed said: “I had been working on Subtract for a decade, trying to sculpt the perfect acoustic album, writing and recording hundreds of songs with a clear vision of what I thought it should be.

“Then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health and ultimately the way I viewed music and art.”

He continued: “Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth.”
