What happened to Dick Van Dyke?

The actor lost control of his car before slamming into a gate.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning (March 22) and police officers arrived at the scene to find Dick behind the wheel of his Lexus LS 500, reports TMZ.

The star told the cops his car had skidded in the rain and he lost control of the steering before smashing into the gate.

Where is Dick Van Dyke now?

It is understood that the actor did not need hospital treatment.

According to reports, someone picked him up, so he didn’t have to drive home from the scene.

This is not the first time the actor has been involved in an incident involving a car.

In 2013, he managed to escape unhurt after his car blew up into flames on a motorway.

Witness Jason Pennington told TMZ that he saw an elderly man “hunched” at the wheel.

Dick was pulled from his vehicle and had no idea his Jaguar was on fire.

Speaking to TMZ at the time, he said: “It just started making a noise, and I thought I had a flat at first, then it started to smoke, then it burned to a crisp.”

“There was a fireman, a nurse and a cop just happened to be passing by. Somebody’s looking after me.”

While he escaped unharmed and didn’t need treatment, he was left “slightly disorientated.”

His wife Arlene Silver later revealed in a Vine video that the actor was “fine” after being caught up in the ordeal.
