MANY an impressionist has made their name primarily through mimicking Conor McGregor…but they might have all been shown up a current UFC champion.
That’s because bantamweight king Aljamain Sterling has debuted his inner Notorious with surprisingly accurate results.

In a short clip, The Funkmaster gets McGregor’s cadence down to a tee as he insists rivals are ‘just not on my level.’
Fans were blown away by the striking similarity to the Dubliner’s distinctive brogue.
One person commented: “Best Conor impression ever.”
While another added: “What the hell it sounds like he’s playing it off his phone it’s so good hahaha.”
Meanwhile someone else asked: “Did someone voice over Aljo? Did someone voice over Aljo? This is too perfect.”
Lastly, someone else remarked: “I wasn’t looking. I was waiting for the Conor impression after Conor was done talking and said ‘Ohhh that is Aljo talking wtf!”
How the New Yorker manages to suppress his own strong accent is hard to wrap your head around even after you listen to it a few times.
The 33-year-old wrestler boasts a professional record of 22-3 and has not lost since December 2017 – eights fights ago.
He has come close though as he actually won the belt in strange circumstances against Petr Yan.
He looked to be losing into the fourth round but then the Russian threw an illegal knee which caught him flush in the face – resulting in a disqualification.
However, Sterling did beat him by traditional methods in an admittedly razor-thin decision one year later.
He has since defended the title once more against another former champ in TJ Dillashaw.
THE MAN HIMSELF
As for McGregor himself, his latest return to the octagon is drawing closer but we still don’t have an exact fight date for his contest against Michael Chandler.
Akin to Sterling’s impression though, the Crumlin native has already issued a prediction brimming with his trademark self-confidence.
He said: “I think I’m going slice through him. I think I’m a little too slicy for him, more than anyone else he’s fought.
“A little too snappy and whippy and I think I’ll slice through him.”
