Watch Arsenal star Zinchenko’s outrageous first touches in Puma challenge which ‘mere mortals can only dream of’

OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO has sent Arsenal fans wild with his incredible technique while participating in Puma’s control challenge.

The 26-year-old Ukrainian full-back swapped Manchester City for the Emirates last summer and has become a firm favourite with Gooners.

The Gunners moved eight points clear of City, who have a game in hand, as they romped to a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

That led to a fellow ex-Etihad favourite Gabriel Jesus urging his Arsenal teammates to just enjoy the crunch title run-in.

And Zinchenko could not appear to be relishing life any more at the moment as he wowed supporters in a clip that has now gone viral.

He took on Puma employee Cameron in a control challenge and on his first attempt produced a cool backheel to knock the ball up in the air before keeping it up several times with equally impressive flicks with the outside of his respective boots.

During his next go at controlling a long-range ball from across the pitch, he produced a quick no-look head turn before trapping it dead with his left peg.

But it was his third one that left fans drooling as he produced a spin in the air while controlling it perfectly with the heel of his lethal left foot.

After the clip went viral, supporters quickly hailed his efforts in response.

One wrote: “We all sit here and critique professional footballers but these guys are all insanely talented, every single one of them at the top level can do special things that us mere mortals can only dream of.”

Another said: “Seeing that last touch makes me cry. What a player!”

A fellow Gooner commented: “The last one, ooh my days!!..hats off.”

While another said: “The second touch was mesmerising. I like that scanning over his shoulder and how he stopped the ball.”

Arsenal will resume their title charge when they face Leeds at the Emirates on April 1.

Manchester City will also be in home action that day as they welcome Liverpool to the Etihad.
