An Italian designer has reimagined the future of flying vehicles with his 4×4 jet flying concept vehicle.
Created by Pierpaolo Lazzarini at his own design studios, Aircar wouldn’t look out of place in the latest Star Wars spin-off series.

The concept has a small, pod-like appearance, powered by Rolls-Royce jet engines enabling it to soar through the sky at impressive speed.
Allowing travellers to avoid busy road traffic by simply flying off above ground, the 4×4 jet aircraft is six-metres long, and is designed to take one pilot and three passengers.
Carbon-fibre bodywork means that it’s ultra-light, while those Rolls-Royce jet engines can rotate in different directions depending on which way you want to go – helping with overall stability and manoeuvrability.
Powered by jet fuel, the Aircar can cruise at an estimated top speed of 750 Km/h (460mph) with a range of 3200 kilometres.
What’s more special about Lazzarini’s creation is that, due to its 4×4 engine system it can turn and move quickly to different heights and speed – so you could be in a crowded city, a mountainous area or wider open spaces and still be able to navigate your way through.
At the moment, Aircar remains a concept flying vehicle, though Lazzarini is looking to officially launch in 2024 with a first real-scale prototype before then being ready to scale up production.
