TESCO is making a major change to Clubcard vouchers and shoppers won’t be happy.
The supermarket chain is reducing the value of Clubcard vouchers spent with reward partners.

Shoppers can use Clubcard vouchers in-store and online to save money on their Tesco shop.
Customers can also still exchange and triple the value of these vouchers at various reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi.
But from June 14, Clubcard vouchers will only be worth double their value if exchanged at any of Tesco’s 100 reward partners.
The move will mean that their value won’t go as far as it used to on things like family days out at Alton Towers Resort, meals at PizzaExpress, sunny getaways with Hotels.com and much more.
Customers wishing to avoid the points devaluation for as long as possible can do so by ordering partner codes before June 14.
These codes will still be worth the current rate and shoppers will have 12 months from their issue to redeem them.
Tesco has justified the changes to ensure that they can still give Clubcard members great deals.
Clubcard holders can continue to convert 150 points into £1.50 worth of vouchers to spend in Tesco supermarkets.
Customers can also benefit from the supermarket’s Clubcard Prices – which gives loyalty card members discounted rates on over 8,000 products.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Clubcard unlocks the best value from Tesco – from thousands of exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices, to money off your groceries and fuel, or accessing double the value of your vouchers with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners.
“Millions of people tap their Tesco Clubcard every time they shop, benefiting from access to more than 8,000 weekly deals on Clubcard Prices.
“And with potential savings of up to £351 a year, more people than ever before are making the most of the immediate value that Tesco Clubcard offers.
“We are making a change to how members can use their vouchers with our Reward Partners, but they will still be able to unlock great value in the same range of ways as before.”
How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work?
Tesco’s Clubcard was launched in 1995, allowing shoppers to earn points as they shop which can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other partner schemes.
Each time you spend £1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.
You also get one point for every £2 spent on fuel.
One point equals 1p, so 150 points get you £1.50, for example.
You’ll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.
Once you have enough points, you can turn them into vouchers worth the face value to spend in-store at Tesco, or boost their value with reward partners.
Clubcard holders also get cheaper prices on some items compared to those without the loyalty card.
