WHATSAPP has introduced a new way to use voice notes.
The popular messaging app is allowing users to put voice notes as a status.
You can now add a voice note in your WhatsApp status
WhatsApp started testing the new feature last year but it’s finally available to the masses.
It means you can change up your status with your voice, keeping friends and family in the loop about what you’re up to.
The audio has a time limit of 30 seconds.
To access it, just go to add a status in WhatsApp as you would normally.
In the bottom right you should notice a mic icon.
Tap and hold it, then record your message.
If you don’t see it yet, you may need to update your WhatsApp.
You can wait until it becomes available automatically, or you can force it through now.
If you can’t wait, head to the App Store, search WhatsApp and you should be able to update it there.
“These features will roll out over the coming weeks,” WhatsApp says.
WhatsApp always tries out new ideas with special testers first.
