M&M’s Crunchy Honeycomb have a crisp and golden honeycomb centre – similar to the middle of a Crunchie bar.
The little balls are then covered in a thick layer of milk chocolate, before being topped off in an iconic brightly-coloured M&M’s hard shell.
A happy bargain hunter shared the news after stumbling across the sweet treats in their local branch of B&M.
The author of the Facebook blog Money Saving Central posed a shot of the golden bag online and wrote: “I found these Honeycomb M&M’s in B&M today for £1.25 and they are banging!”
They did, however, then clarify the price, adding “Update: These are £2.99 in most B&Ms.
“They must have been mis-priced in my local.”
According to fellow shoppers, the correct price of a 130g pouch of Honeycomb Crunch M&M’s is in fact £2.99 in B&M.
Chocolate lovers are thrilled with the arrival of the delicious new flavour, with one declaring: “I’ve never needed anything more in my life.”
Another person admitted: “This will be the next addiction!”
And someone else simply wrote online: “I need 20 bags.”
A fourth person also shared their joy at the chocolate snack arriving on our shores from Down Under, declaring: “Mmmm they have made it to England!”
Crunchy Honeycomb M&M’s first launched in Australia in 2019.
At the time, M&M’s Australia shared a video of a yellow M&M dressed as a beekeeper.
The chocolate ball was then chased by orange, yellow and brown bee-shaped M&M’s.
“Catch M before they buzz off!” the confectionary giant said.
A spokesperson for B&M told The Sun: “Here at B&M, we’re always on the lookout for exciting new and exclusive rare chocolatey delights to excite our customers.
“We regularly source a variety of rare chocolates from Australia, and they’ve proven to be incredibly popular with the army of chocolatiers out there that are always on the lookout for something new to try.”
How else can I save money at B&M?
The B&M barcode scanner app allows you to discover discounted items before the staff has even reduced them.
The scanner is located on the B&M Stores mobile app, which can be downloaded for free on your smartphone.
Shoppers can download it on the App Store or Google Play.
Once you’ve got the app, click on the “scan” button at the bottom of your homepage.
This will then bring up the camera on your smartphone, which you’ll need to use to scan barcodes.
When you’ve found a product you want to scan, simply point your smartphone camera toward its barcode.
The app will then automatically bring up the item’s price – this is when you’ll know if it is reduced or not.
Bargain hunters say some items come up as £1, 50p or even 10p through the app.
Shoppers should also keep an eye out for products with a white reduction sticker on.
This means they will have a certain amount slashed off the price shown on the label.
Shop for products at the end of the season.
It’s worth getting friendly with staff too.
They’ll be able to tell you when the sales will hit, or if there are bargains out the back – so you get the best bits.
