The chef has made vast improvement including being able to participate in his wedding day and begin to look after his children more as well as socialising with friends in The Woolpack.
In upcoming scenes, Marlon is about to take an even bigger stride in returning to living a normal life.
Having helped out Victoria during her catering for one of Suzy’s events at The Hide, Marlon realised just how much he missed work and cooking.
Upon hearing Charity was having to hire another full-time chef due to the length of time that Marlon would need to remain off for he became increasingly concerned that he would not recover in time to ever take on his job again.
However, Marlon managed to agree to return to work on a semi-permanent basis after proving his capabilities when assisting his former sous chef Victoria.
In new scenes, viewers will see Marlon back to his cheery self after enjoying a family dinner with Rhona and best friends Chas and Paddy and their daughter Eve.
As he returns to work the next day, Marlon relishes being back in The Woolpack kitchen – a sign that his life is back on the up.
Helped along by new employee, whom he encouraged to take the full-time position, Naomi, the duo get to work on the lunchtime orders for the customers.
