EastEnders spoilers: Colin and Barry reunited in emotional comeback

AMIDST the overwhelming sadness of Dot Cotton’s funeral in EastEnders, there appears to be a dash of happiness cementedin one reunion.

Residents of Albert Square all gather once again on EastEnders in order to say a fond farewell to their dear friend and neighbour, Dot Cotton.

Fans of the BBC soap will be pleased to see a number of memorable faces from the show’s 1980’s era making a comeback for the special episodes.

One of those back to pay tribute to his close pal is Colin Russell played by Lord Michael Cashman.

As the residents arrive on the square, Sharon is equally surprised but delighted to see that Colin has turned up to pay his respects.

As Dot’s coffin arrives in front of The Vic, Colin accompanies Sharon as they stroll behind it.

As the funeral draws to a close, the mourners head back to ht epub for the wake where Colin opens up on his life to Sharon and tells her what he has been up to since he was last seen on screen.

Elsewhere, Felix gives directions to a man driving a flash car around the Sqaure to Dot’s wake as he announces he has come to remember her.

As Colin heads out of the wake on the arm of Kathy Beale, she is stunned by who she recognises behind the wheel of the car.

She sees that is is Colin’s former boyfriend from the 80s, Barry Clark.

How will Colin react to seeing Barry and is there more to the reunion than meets the eye?

Only time will tell how long the pair will stick around for in the East End and what the future looks like for them going forward.
