It’s been a minute. Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, enjoyed their first red carpet date night together following the Maroon 5 frontman’s cheating scandal.
The “Payphone” singer, 43, and Victoria’s Secret model, 34, twinned in matching all-black outfits at the Vanity Fair 2023 Oscars afterparty in Beverly Hills on Sunday, March 12. Levine complimented his wife’s glittering black gown and clutch with a classic black tuxedo, paired with a black dress shirt and shoes.
The couple’s latest public appearance comes several months after model Sumner Stroh alleged that she and Levine had an affair. “Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model,” she explained in a September 19, 2022, TikTok video. “At the time, you know, I was young, I was naïve. Quite frankly, I felt exploited. I wasn’t in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely very easily manipulated.”
In addition to revealing Levine’s identity and sharing screenshots of conversations they had over DMs — in one of which he told the influencer, “It is truly unreal how f–king hot you are. Like it blows my mind” — she alleged that he had asked her if he could name his and Prinsloo’s child Sumner.
“OK, serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s [a] boy I really wanna name it Sumner,” the former The Voice coach’s alleged message read. “You OK with that? DEAD serious.”
Levine — who also shares daughters Dusty Rose, 6, and Gio Grace, 5, with his wife of eight years — addressed the videos one day later on September 20. “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” the Grammy winner said in a statement shared via his Instagram Story. “I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
He continued: “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.”
That same day, Stroh, 23, apologized to Prinsloo via another TikTok video. However, more women came forward with more allegations against Levine. A woman named Alyson Rose shared screenshots the “Sugar” singer allegedly sent her in a since-deleted TikTok, including one that read, “I shouldn’t be talking to you you know [that] right?”
Fitness model Ashley Russell went on to also accuse Levine of inappropriate behavior online, claiming he reached out to her via Instagram multiple times earlier in the year. It wasn’t until she told the musician that “he was going to get caught DMing girls like me” that “he stopped texting me.” In total, five women have made infidelity claims against the star.
Despite the drama, Prinsloo has shown support for her husband. She attended Maroon 5’s first performance after the scandal broke in October 2022, shared a photo of herself giving the middle finger via her Instagram Story, and shared a throwback Maroon 5 performance of the song “Sunday Morning.”
They’ve since welcomed their third child together in January, but have yet to announce the child’s name and sex.
