MICHAEL VENOM PAGE is back with a bang.
MVP, 35, is on a revival mission after he was beaten by American Logan Storley for the interim Bellator welterweight title last May.
Michael Venom Page faces Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 292
He turned to bare knuckle boxing, fighting against Mike Perry in August – losing by majority decision.
Now he will face Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 292 tonight as he continues his push towards a world title.
He told SunSport: “I’m just excited to be back. I haven’t fought in the US for a while and MMA for a little while.
“I am just pumped with that energy to be back in full stop.
“I have always seen it as you can learn things from both your successes and your losses.
“A lot of people overlook their successes and forget that they’ve made a lot of mistakes.
“It’s important to learn. My process to how I am in defeat is exactly the same as how I am in my successes and my wins.
“It’s exactly the same. Back to the drawing board and learning what I need to adjust and do.”
MVP Q&A
MVP recently sat down with SunSport’s Isabelle Barker to answer the questions every fan wants to know the answers to.
Last song you listened to?
It would be an Amapiano track. I can’t think of the name but I’m massively into my Amapiano at the minute.
Difficult man. I just love greasy food. I love travelling purely because of cuisines. I love going to different countries and deciding what’s the what’s the best cuisine and what’s the best place to go.
Favourite cheat meal?
So cheat meal is whatever is greasy and just tasty and the opposite of what I’ve been eating at the minute!
Three dinner guests, dead or alive?
Mansa Musa because then he can take the bill. Jackie Chan because I want to meet him and speak to him.
For entertainment purposes I’m throwing Kevin Hart in there.
Celeb crush?
Back in the day it was Christina Milian.
Ultimate opponent?
Someone I’ve always been compared to, since my first fight to even more recently, Anderson Silva.
It’s out of respect like I would love to grace the cage with him and experience what other fighters have experienced.
I was jealous when Israel Adesanya got to fight him and mean it was almost like a passing of the torch.”
