Emmerdale spoilers: Belle Dingle makes huge discovery that threatens to rip apart her family

BELLE Dingle has been focused on making something of herself despite the commotion around her.

But when another Emmerdale resident reveals a shocking truth, she makes a horrifying discovery which threatens the Dingle clan.

Weeks have gone by since Al Chapman was shot dead after a brutal fight with long-term foe Cain Dingle.

After finding out the businessman had been unfaithful to her, Kerry Wyatt left the Dales, prompting her long-lost daughter Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) to investigate.

Chloe has accused Priya Sharma and Moira Dingle of being Al’s other woman but hasn’t gone far ever since.

However, when she tells Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) that Al took someone out to dinner the night Faith Dingle died, it doesn’t take the latter long to put two and two together.

While Chloe is left scratching her head, Belle realises that Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) never actually ended her affair with Al.

She later confronts Chas about being at Westgrove Hall Hotel with Al the night of her mother’s death.

Realising she’s been backed into a corner, Chas is unable to deny her affair any longer.

Belle takes things even further when she suggests this is why their brother Cain murdered Al and Chas wonders whether she should admit to believing this theory.

ITV viewers will remember Belle catching Al and Chas together earlier in the year but she agreed to keep schtum on the one condition the illicit lovers called it quits.

Instead, Chas and Al learned to cover up their tracks better and carried on their affair without Belle ever knowing they had duped her.

But while she managed to keep quiet, the same won’t be said of her next week.

As a delighted Chas finds out her husband Paddy has booked them a surprise getaway, Belle breaks down in front of Moira (Natalie J. Robb).

Belle crumbles under the pressure and finally opens up about what she knows.

Moira is furious when the truth about Cain’s imprisonment and Al’s death dawns on her.

The following day, Chas and Paddy prepare for their trip away, relieved they’re taking a step back from all the pain in the eponymous village.

But could someone stop them with another bombshell?
