A PLANE passenger has revealed how she removed a person’s bare foot from her armrest – and people love it.
The woman was on a flight when she noticed a person’s toe, from the row behind, resting on her armrest.

To get the toe out of sight, the woman decided to take action.
In a TikTok video, which was uploaded by lindastabilinda, the woman can be seen giggling and laughing at the foot in question.
She then grabbed the end of the armrest and flipped it backwards into an upright position in a bid to make sure the foot was successfully removed.
The video has been seen more than 680,00 times, with many users impressed by the armrest flip.
One person wrote: “That solves that problem,” while another said: “People get way too comfortable on planes.”
A third added: “Easy peasy [sic], no fight, no argument – a great job.”
But this isn’t the first time someone has to deal with another passenger’s feet.
Another woman on TikTok went to drastic lengths to free her armrest of a bare foot.
In the video, she took a small chunk of ice out of her drink, and put it on the armrest next to the stranger’s feet.
Meanwhile, flight attendants and podiatrists have warned that being barefoot on planes leaves travellers exposed to bad bacteria.
Podiatrist Ebonie Vincent told the Washington Post: “You could pick up fungus, not to mention the millions of germs and bacteria that you could transfer to carpets, inside hotel rooms or homes and cars, which serves as a danger to other people.
Flight attendant Raven Johnson added that it made her “cringe”, saying: “Yes, they’re cleaning the planes a lot more than they used to, but still, you’re not at home.”
Going barefoot isn’t only unhygienic, but could risk your safety if there is a plane crash.
Tony Kuna, who used to work as as a member of the cabin crew, explained: “During an emergency, all sorts of debris and unpleasant ground surfaces will block your way towards the exit, as well as outside the aircraft.”
“If your feet [aren’t] properly covered, you’ll have a hard time making your way to safety.”
Last year, a man was praised for his “no-nonsense” approach to a passenger’s feet on his armrest after he poured water on them.
