GARY NEVILLE has branded Manchester United’s defending “appalling” after they were blown away 7-0 by Liverpool.
The former right-back, who was on commentary during the game, was especially angered by the manner of Darwin Nunez‘s first goal.

Neville fumed at the United defenders, with Luke Shaw being slammed for giving the ball away and failing to make a clearance.
The Sky Sports pundit said: “This is a mess. Shaw’s initial pass isn’t good enough. They should all do better.
“From a defensive point of view, the two goals conceded are absolutely appalling.”
And the criticism didn’t stop there, next in the firing line was Bruno Fernandes.
The man captaining United during their collapse supposedly asked Erik ten Hag to substitute him off as the midfielder lost his temper.
Neville said: “Fernandes has been embarrassing at times.
“The second half has been an absolute disgrace, a shambles. They have not been epitomised more than Fernandes”.
Things only got worse of Neville in the commentary box as Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher began to laugh at him.
