The four things you should never pack in your suitcase

PACKING experts have revealed the four items you should never pack in your suitcase whenever you fly.

Last summer showed that there’s always a chance your checked-in luggage can go missing.

And with that in mind, there are a number of important items that should never risk losing in your suitcases.

Seasoned case-packers from CNet have revealed four items that you should always keep in your hand luggage for that reason.

They included medication and prescriptions, chargers for your devices, valuables like jewellery, and your wallet or purse.

They said: “There’s some items that are just better in your carry-on luggage.

“If you do decide to check a bag, be sure to keep these items with you on the flight.

“These carry-on essentials are items that would be hard to replace or purchase when you get to your destination.”

The NHS website recommends travellers put medication in their hand luggage too.

They say that if hold luggage gets lost, they would still be able to take their necessary medicine.

Some other people have a different idea about what an important item is.

Rosalie Edith is a flight attendant and for her, it’s more crucial to have back up outfits in her carry-on.

She said: “I always have my favourite linen dress and then another outfit, a cardigan, a spare pair of underwear and then maybe a bikini, depending where I’m going, and a pair of shoes.

“One time, my bag did go missing, but at least I had some backup outfits with me, so I wasn’t as stressed.”

She said: “I always have my favourite linen dress and then another outfit, a cardigan, a spare pair of underwear and then maybe a bikini, depending where I’m going, and a pair of shoes.

Travellers are taking action to make sure that, even if their bags do go missing, they can still get them back.

A TikToker who goes by Damn Marino shared his bag-tracking hack in a viral video.

He advised viewers to buy an Apple AirTag – or several – and hide them inside their luggage.

He said: “These guys, Apple tags. I want you to get them and I want you to label them and put them in all your stuff.

“Much like the Find My Phone feature, you can find your items now.”

Meanwhile, this flight attendant has revealed three things they’re banned from doing on the job.

Another cabin crew member swears by this £16 item.
