Fans went wild for the bout between Los Pineda Coladas (B Dave and Luis Alcaraz Pineda) and D-Generation Ice (IcePoseidon and Anthony Vargas) at Misfits Boxing 005.

The rules of the tag team match meant one member of each team had to wait on the ring apron while the other was inside fighting, but they could tag each other in by touching gloves.

Los Pineda Coladas won an utterly chaotic fight thanks to a second round stoppage.

Viewers were quick to praise the format following a thrilling encounter in Telford.

One wrote on Twitter: “TagTeam boxing is actually really entertaining….”

Another added: “Okay I’ll admit it.. a few bugs here and there but DAMN tag team boxing is entertaining!!!”

A third said: “I am very on board with Tag Team Boxing.”

And Misfits CEO KSI wrote: “THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS IVE EVER SEEN. I NEED MORE TAG TEAM FIGHTS MAN”

While talkSPORT writer Michael Benson tweeted: “Tag team boxing is complete and utter chaos. Luis Alcarez Pineda currently beating up two blokes alternately.”

Part of another tweet from Benson said: “Total madness as expected, but quite entertaining nonetheless.”

However, others were far from convinced by the tag team bout.

One said on Twitter: “Tag team boxing, what a farce.”

And another blasted: “Tag team boxing needs to crash and burn.”

Los Pineda Coladas’ win came ahead of the ahead of the headline fight between Jay Swingler and NichLMAO in a huge bill that also saw Astrid Wett beat former Love Island star AJ Bunker.
