TUI has issued an update for Brits with holidays to Turkey booked this summer.
Three massive earthquakes shocked parts of Turkey and Syria at the beginning of last month, forcing the government to announce a national emergency.

The operator has moved to reassure holidaymakers heading to the country this year.
In a statement, they said: “We’re aware of the three recent earthquakes in Turkey the cities of Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras and the tremor that occurred near the city of Antakya and the Syria border.
“All three earthquakes happened in the southeast of Turkey approximately 800km away from the resort of Antalya.
“Our thoughts remain with those affected by the devastating events in Turkey and TUI is supporting humanitarian initiatives in the country, as are the majority of our hoteliers.
“The hotels which were not in operation during the winter season have been opened specifically for this emergency aid whilst closed to customers.
“For customers with holidays booked to Turkey, we can confirm these are currently operating as planned.”
Following the earthquakes, the UK government updated its travel advice for Turkey.
The website still reads: “A 7.8 earthquake hit Gaziantep and neighbouring provinces in the south east of Turkey on 6 February 2023.
“There have been several strong after-shocks. You should avoid the immediate vicinity and follow the advice of the local authorities.”
Most of Turkey is usually safe to visit as a tourist.
There are just a few locations that the UK government advise against travelling to, which includes the border with Syria.
It is also advised against visiting Sirnak or the province of Hakkari.
However, the popular holiday resorts such as Bodrum, Antalya and Istanbul remain safe for tourists.
