Leicester 0 Arsenal 1: Martinelli’s goal keeps title bid on track as Gunners edge past Foxes but VAR is involved again

GABRIEL MARTINELLI netted a crucial goal to grab Arsenal a huge three points at Leicester.

The Brazilian’s strike early in the second-half has given the Gunners a five point lead at the top of the table as they look to steer clear of Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta‘s side dominated most of the game and thought they had the lead when Leandro Trossard curled in a stunner in the first-half.

But fans were left shocked when VAR intervened before referee Craig Pawson ruled out the strike due to an alleged foul seconds earlier on Danny Ward by Ben White.

Despite the frustration, Arsenal found a way through early in the second half.

Martinelli tucked home a brilliant finish in the bottom corner but appeared to hurt himself in the process.

The Foxes were uncharacteristically toothless and struggled to make chances throughout the game.
