Is Reddit down?
On Tuesday, February 22, Reddit users began complaining about issues with the site.
The Downdetector service noticed a huge spike in reports.
It surged around 3pm GMT.
The main complaint is that the platform just won’t load.
Reddit has said it is looking into the problem.
Why is Reddit not working?
Reddit posted on Twitter to say it was aware of issues.
“We’ve identified an issue which prevented feeds from loading for users on desktop and mobile devices,” the firm siad.
“We’re working to repair the issue and should have a fix in place shortly.”
How to check if Reddit is down
Internet users can check the Downdetector to find out if Reddit is down.
Equally, you can expect to see confused users tweeting about it on Twitter.
For the very latest updates, it’s best to follow Reddit’s own status page on Twitter.
They can be found @redditstatus.
When has it been down before
Like many social networks, Reddit has outages every now and again.
This happens to Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram, to name a few.
Many are resolved before anyone even notices it.
The last outage only happened a few days ago, according to Reddit’s own Twitter page.
Back in May 2021, some speculated that the website was down due to an overload of searches for cryptocurrency.
