LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp’s words after the Champions League final last May have come back to haunt him after his team were thrashed by Real Madrid.
The Reds lost last season’s final to Real inside the Stade de France 1-0.

Vinicius Jr got the winner to end Liverpool‘s hopes of winning a seventh European crown.
After the game, an optimistic Klopp told fans to book hotels in Istanbul, the venue for this year’s final.
He said: “Where’s it [the final] next year? Istanbul? Book the hotel.”
However, Liverpool’s hopes of being in the final were shattered after they were thrashed by their opponents from last year’s final , Real Madrid, but in the round of 16.
Liverpool raced into a two-goal lead but ended up being on the receiving end of a 5-2 loss.
The Reds will go to the Bernabeu on March 15 hoping to recover the three-goal deficit.
But fans are already mocking the Liverpool manager’s comments from last May, asking whether getting a refund on the hotel is possible.
One said: “Hahaha, can you refund hotel tickets or not?”
