McDonald’s customer reveals tip to get Big Mac and fries ‘for £1.99’ – but everyone’s saying the same thing

A MCDONALD’s customer has shared a tip for getting a Big Mac and fries “for £1.99” – but not everyone is impressed.

Yorkshire dad Mark Brown has a million followers on TikTok, where he posts reviews, tips, dances and life updates.

He recently visited the Wolviston Maccies in County Durham to share his tip, which he claims could get you a Big Mac and Fries for a fraction of the listed £4.19 price.

The McDonald’s superfan started by ordering only the Sour Cream & Chive dip, which costs 50p.

Mark’s receipt for the chive dip listed a discount code, which he gave to his wife Lucy to fill out an online form for him.

When Lucy completed the form, Mark was emailed a voucher for a £1.99 Big Mac and Fries, which he used at the till.

He said: “Right Lucy, go into the internet, fill that form out and get us a discount.

“There’s my free voucher for £1.99 – happy days.

“The mad thing is, you get another receipt to do it all again.”

Not everyone was convinced by Mark’s tip, with many pointing out the same arithmetic error.

Antony said: “The sauce plus the voucher adds up to £2.49, not £1.99.”

Lewis said: “It’s not £1.99 then, is it?”

Dave said: “£2.49 actually, you paid 50p for the sauce.”

This was not the only problem people spotted with Mark’s tip.

Michael said: “Who wants McDonald’s chive sauce?”

Connor said: “The kiosks literally never print the receipts.

Laura said: “They will change it now that everyone knows about it.

Richard said: “I can’t be bothered with all that hassle.”
