The big mistakes you’re making on the plane that will make cabin crew hate you

Sneaky drinks

Paul said: “Don’t over drink and ask the crew for more drinks, then ask different crew when they say no – you think we don’t talk to one another?”

Stretching out

Paul, who is known as Mr Plane Guy, also didn’t appreciate passengers spending time doing yoga or stretching on the plane.

He said: “People start doing stretches and full on aerobics in the galley when we are trying to work in a small confined kitchen/galley area.

“We don’t want to be organising and giving out drinks and food for 200-300 passengers while 42C is doing legs, bums and tums.”

Stacking trays

You might think you’re being helpful by stacking the plane food trays at the end of a meal, but it actually creates more work for the crew.

While it may seem like you’re being helpful, it actually creates more work for the cabin crew – as well as more mess too.

Paul said: “Would you take your plate to the restaurant kitchen? People act really strange on an aircraft!”

Be kind

Above all else, Paul encouraged passengers to be kind to members of cabin crew, as people often moan and argue over the slightest inconvenience.

He said: “Be nice, 2022 was horrific for airline workers, the sudden surge in demand combined with poor staffing levels resulted in huge queues everywhere at airports and not enough crew on flights.

“Travelling can be stressful anyway, but don’t take it out on the people that have showed up to take you on holiday.”

Meanwhile flight attendant Tommy Cimato has revealed five things you should never do on an airplane – including leaning on the windows.

He also recommended that passengers steer clear from wearing shorts on the plane because it might be pretty gross.

A drink you should never order if you don’t want to annoy cabin crew is a Diet Coke.
