People are just realising Netflix has hidden button that fixes app’s biggest problem

GETTING the right recommendations on your Netflix account is key for many telly fans.

So anyone who’s had a friend over who watched something that’s not your cup of tea will no the pain of seeing stuff they don’t like suddenly appear.

Maybe your nan came over and you put on some Downton Abbey to keep her happy – and now all you’re getting is period dramas pop up.

Or maybe you watched one guilty pleasure and don’t want others to see.

Whatever the reason, fortunately there’s a way to put a stop to it from interfering.

There’s a special trick that allows you to hide titles from your Netflix viewing history.

This means they won’t appear in Netflix as a TV show or movie that you’ve previously watched.

They won’t show up as a dreaded recommendation – unless you watch them again, of course.

And most importantly, they’ll be removed from the continue watching row on the main Netflix screen.

To do it from a web browser, start by logging into your account and heading to the Account page.

Select Profile & Parental Controls on your profile.

Go to the Activity page.

You’ll see your recently watched title.

Click on the hide icon next to each one.

Fortunately, if you hide one episode, it’ll come up with an option to hide the entire series, so you don’t have to hide every single episode.
