MANCHESTER UNITED and Newcastle are both chasing an Argentine World Cup-winning star.

The Prem duo are both hoping to be able to offer up Champions League football next term.

And they already have an eye on strengthening in advance.

According to Calciomercato, Paulo Dybala has caught the attentions of both the Red Devils and the Toon.

The attacker only joined Roma last summer after seven years at Juventus.

But he could already be headed for pastures new.

The 29-year-old penned a three-year deal worth around £80,000-a-week with the Serie A side.

It contains a release clause of just £10.7million for clubs outside of Italy, however, and £17.5m for teams in his own league.

This has attracted Man United and Newcastle, who could add some star quality on the cheap.

Dybala has been in exceptional form for Roma this term.

He has bagged 11 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions – while also laying on seven assists.

Roma currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, thanks to Dybala’s former club Juve’s 15-point deduction.

Qualification for the Champions League next term would be a bare minimum if they are to have any chance of convincing Dybala to stay.

Ahead of Roma’s 1-0 defeat to RB Salzburg last night, Dybala was noncommittal when asked about his future.

He said: “When it comes to my release clause, as I said before it’s something between my agent and the club.

“I can’t know what’s going to happen at the end of the year.”
