Job where you can earn £100k a YEAR & work when you want could be yours… and no one wants to do it

THIS job pays nearly £100,000 a year and let’s you work when you want – but nobody will take it.

The unusual career seems like a dream come true for anyone looking to escape the rat race – but there’s a serious catch.

Recruitment firm MDE Consultants has posted the ad for work on offshore rigs in the North Sea, off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland.

The ad offers a selection of fixed-term contracts across a number of “North Sea assets”, ranging from a full six-month rotation to week-long sick cover.

Successful applicants will be paid £367 a day for 12 hour shifts on the rigs, with all PPE provided.

Given that there are 260 working days in a year, this works out at a maximum pay of £95,420 annually.

The firm did not say who the employer would be, only that they are a “world leader in the energy market”.

They added that there were “various dates and trips available”, allowing applicants to pick when they want to work and for how long.

However, not just anyone can apply as the post requires certified safety and technical training.

Others, though, may be put off by the fact that it involves effectively living on a rig in the North Sea for up to six months.

It seems as though there haven’t been many takers as the ad was posted 24 days ago seeking five candidates and has not yet been removed.

It comes after a similar job in the Australian mining sector failed to attract much interest despite paying £80,000 a year and offering a £7,000 signing bonus.

Likewise, jobs picking fruit in the country were not popular, even though workers are paid £4,000 a month for just six hours work each day.
