Brave Grace, 7, signs up to modelling agency while wearing a prosthetic blade

BRAVE Grace Akerman is walking on sunshine after signing to a modelling agency despite being born with her right leg 4ins shorter than her left.

The seven-year-old has congenital femoral deficiency and in the past has used shoe raises.

But now a prosthetic blade custom-built by experts allows her to walk faster and keep up with her friends.

And she is working towards completing a quarter of a million steps to raise money for charity.

Mum Hayley Cremen, 34, of Bristol, said: “The new blade has given her so much more confidence.

“She’s thrilled.”

Grace has been signed to agency Zebedee, which represents those with a disability or visible difference.

Soft play manager Hayley added: “Modelling will offer some exciting opportunities for Grace.”
