The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are hitting the field on Sunday, Feb. 12, but celebrities like Drake and Cardi B got a head start on celebrating Super Bowl weekend. While some celebs are opting for wings and cheese boards at home like many football fans, others are hitting one of the many parties happening in Arizona (the big game is taking place in Glendale this year) and beyond.
In the lead-up to Sunday’s game and Rihanna’s highly anticipated halftime show, Cardi B took the stage at the W Scottsdale pregame party, while Machine Gun Kelly performed at the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl Party in Scottsdale, AZ., on Feb. 11. Not to be outdone, former NFL player Rob Gronkowski hosted “Gronk Beach” in Phoenix on Saturday, which included performances from Diplo and 21 Savage.
Drake got in on the fun, too. The “Hotline Bling” singer headlined the h.wood Homecoming party sponsored by Cash App and Visa on Friday night at Scottsdale Hangar One, a private-jet complex in Scottsdale. Add in Shaquille O’Neal’s “Shaq’s Fun House” bash and the Serena Williams and Brian Cox–hosted Michelob Ultra x Netflix postgame event (which is fitting since Williams is also starring in the brand’s Super Bowl ads) and there was no shortage of parties for Hollywood’s brightest stars to see and be seen this year.
Even Guy Fieri got in on the fun with a huge tailgate event dubbed Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Presented by Cash App. Fieri’s shindig is less exclusive – everyone is welcome to come try the tasty food that will be on offer at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Sunday before kickoff – but it’s also a family friendly event that’s sure to bring out a few celebrity families looking for a bit of food and fun before the game gets underway.
