I flew to Magaluf for the day and it cost me less than a Full English breakfast

A MAN has revealed how he flew to Magaluf for the day – which cost less than the average Full English breakfast.

TikTok user Ben said he tried to find flights and a Full English abroad for less than one in the UK.

TikToker Ben flew to Magaluf to try and beat the average cost of a Full English

His flight was £10, while his Full English was around £4

He said: “I wanted to see if I could fly across Europe to eat a Full English breakfast all for the same total price of ordering one in the UK.”

He said the average cost of a Full English breakfast is £12.50, although this is actually the priciest – the average is around £11.33 in London, according to a 2022 study.

He continued on his TikTok account: “So let’s see if we can get exactly that plus a holiday for the same price.”

He said he wanted to find a destination that works as a “winter getaway” but also still served quality Full English.

Ben ended up finding flights from Manchester to Majorca for just £10.

Despite arriving at a “deserted airport” he headed to a cafe on the beach called Restaurant Florida.

His Full English came with tea or coffee and set him back €5 (£4).

However, he said the portions were “absolutely massive” which included mounds of bacon, sausages and mushrooms, as well as a portion of chips and four pieces of bread.

While this took him to around £1.95 more expensive than the priciest Full English in the UK, he said he got “double the portion” and a holiday to Magaluf for the extra cost.

Some people loved how cheap the flights were – one said: “Meanwhile in the US we’re like ‘where can I go for less than $300 in my own country?’”

Another added: “My god, I wish Aussie flight prices were like this. $800 return from West to East minimum.

Others were more dubious about the price of the classic British breakfast.

One person said: “Mate you can get a Full English breakfast in Morrison for 6 quid.

Another agreed: “My little cafe does a huge full English with unlimited cups of teas for a fiver.”

Ben isn’t the first person to try this.

Callum Ryan revealed how he flew to Italy and bought a pizza for less than the cost of a medium Dominoes.

And one mum revealed how she had a day trip to Lanzarote for just £23 with her best mate.
