Watch as woman removes rude passenger’s bare feet from armrest with simple trick

A PLANE passenger has revealed how she stopped the person behind putting their bare feet on her armrest – and people love it.

The woman was mid-flight when she noticed the passenger behind’s feet were poking her in the arm.

To prevent it from happening again, she decided to come up with a plan of action.

Filming it for Tiktok, she (@thewandertog) took a small chunk of ice out of her drink, and put it on the armrest next to the feet.

The cold liquid from the ice cube trickled down onto the passenger’s feet, forcing her to retreat.

The video has been seen more than 680,000 times, with other people impressed with her tactics.

One wrote: “I’ve “accidentally” spilled my water on feet before.”

Another said: “You were a lot nicer than I would have been.”

A third added: “That is brilliant! gets the point across without causing confrontation.”

It is far from the first time this has happened, with model Alison Bowles saying in a different video: “I was laying down and felt this lady’s feet on my head. What should I do?”

She then showed the woman’s bare feet, with red painted toes, poking through the gap between the seats which had touched Alison’s head while she was lying across the seats.

The video has been liked more than 14k times, with most people horrified.

One person wrote: “You absolutely have the right to tell ANYONE that they cannot have their bare feet in your personal space.”

Experts have warned that passengers risk catching disgusting fungus infections and even getting sick if they go barefoot on planes.

Podiatrist Ebonie Vincent told the Washington Post: “You could pick up fungus, not to mention the millions of germs and bacteria that you could transfer to carpets, inside hotel rooms or homes and cars, which serves as a danger to other people.”

Cabin crew member Raven Johnson added that it made her “cringe”, saying: “Yes, they’re cleaning the planes a lot more than they used to, but still, you’re not at home.”

Another flight attendant on Reddit explained why passengers should always wear shoes when going to the toilet on board a flight.

They said: “I promise you, 9 times out of 10, that is not water on the floor.

The toilets are often absolutely disgusting and get deep cleaned only at the end of a route, for us this could be from one side of the world to the other… imagine how lovely they are at the end of a 12 hour flight with 200 people using them.”

Last year, a man was praised for his “no-nonsense” approach to a passenger’s feet on his armrest after he poured water on them.

A former flight attendant has even revealed why you should never take your shoes off on a flight.
